Boat Trailer Requirements for Mac Boats
A boat trailer is essential for safely transporting your boat to and from the water, while also providing the correct support during travel, launching, and retrieval.
To protect your investment and ensure optimal performance, MAC Boats must be used with an approved trailer. Approved trailers are specifically designed to support the hull correctly and prevent unnecessary stress or damage.
Warranty Notice
Using an unapproved trailer can result in improper support and may cause damage to your boat. For this reason, the use of a non-approved trailer will void your MAC Boats warranty. Always choose an approved trailer to ensure safety, performance, and full warranty coverage.
Checklist
To ensure your trailer provides the correct support and meets MAC Boats requirements, please review the following checklist. These guidelines are essential for protecting your hull, maintaining performance, and ensuring your warranty remains valid.
- Hull must be supported solely by longitudinal support Skids/Bunks.
- Central Skids/Bunks are highly recommended.
- Skids/Bunks must support at least 70% of the hull length.
- Skids/Bunks must support past the stern by at least 50 mm.
- Skids/Bunks must have contact surface being plastic or carpet.
- Trailer must have entry roller.
- Trailer must have bow roller or correctly fitting snub block to lock in the bow.
- An outboard support bracket is highly recommended to prevent transom flex when trailering.
